On January 24, 2025, NVERS hosted a regional offering of the Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) course, in partnership with the burn center at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

Through strategic planning, priority-setting, information sharing, training, exercises, equipment acquisition, and policy-making, NVERS supports a regional approach to coordinated emergency preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery across jurisdiction and discipline boundaries.
